Below is an overview of key features and requirements to help you understand what’s included before you apply.

  • Loan Amount: £25,001 – £250,000

  • Interest Rate: 17% variable (Base Rate + 13%)

  • Repayment Terms: Up to 5 years

  • Early Repayment: No penalties for early repayment or overpayment

  • Arrangement Fee: 3.5% (can be added to the loan or deducted upfront)

  • Applicant Contribution: A minimum contribution of 10% towards the loan facility is recommended (cash in your business account or fixed assets)

    • 100% Personal Guarantee from each Director listed on Companies House

    • Company Debenture (required in most applications)

  • Use of Funds:

    • Purchase assets, working capital, marketing, staff salaries, management buyouts (MBOs), and general business activities

    • Refinancing existing debt

  • A personal guarantee is a legal commitment from you (or other directors/shareholders) to repay the loan if your business is unable to. It’s a common requirement for business loans and helps us to offer better terms.

    Key points:

    • You may be personally liable for the loan amount if the business defaults.

    • This could involve your personal assets.

  • A debenture is a legal charge placed on your company’s assets. It gives us security over those assets if the business fails to repay the loan.

    Key points:

    • It can cover all assets (floating charge) or specific ones (fixed charge).

    • It gives us priority over other creditors if the company goes into liquidation.

    • It does not affect your personal assets unless combined with a personal guarantee.

  • These measures help us offer competitive loan terms while ensuring responsible lending. They also demonstrate your commitment to the success of your business.
