The World Cup — the crown jewel of the international football calendar — is just around the corner. 48 teams from all corners of the Earth are carefully refining their squads. They’re making sure they have the right balance of talent and cohesion to bring about success this summer.

Football mad or preparing to avoid the pub for 39 days, it doesn’t matter. This isn’t really about football. It’s about developing a team.

As now-retired Spanish superstar Xavi once said: “Football is a team game, and it's important to play with players who understand your way of playing." The ethos remains the same in business.

You’ll want to bring together the right blend of individuals to help make your business a success, and if they believe in your values and goals, it makes it all the more likely to happen.

As we’ve grown at First Enterprise, we’ve kept our eyes out for new talent. Warm, empathetic, and driven people who can add their unique knowledge and skills to our team, so we can continue to provide exceptional service.

In recent weeks, we’ve added three new faces. Read on to learn about Rosa, Eosaph, and Iffat, and what they bring to First Enterprise.

Rosa Iskandar: Our fox-in-the-box helping clients score vital goals

Rosa has joined our expanding Business Advisor team, the financially savvy group that help you with your Start Up Loans. Bubbly, bright, and studious, she has hit the ground running with a lovely blend of positivity and drive.

Always keen to take on new challenges, Rosa has been busy learning the role inside out, as well as volunteering for additional duties, such as attending networking events on behalf of First Enterprise.

Rosa has plenty of experience working for not-for-profits with years spent at charities focused on supporting individuals experiencing financial hardship.

She says it: “taught me a great deal about resilience, empathy, and problem-solving. As well as how impactful the right advice can be when it is delivered with both understanding and care.”

Outside of her work, Rosa has also spent time studying finance, guided by her strong interest in building on her existing knowledge and learning more about how financial situations can affect both individuals and businesses.

Rosa was drawn to First Enterprise because of her desire to inspire people and help them turn their ideas into reality.

She says: “There is something incredibly rewarding about supporting someone at the very beginning of their journey and watching their confidence and ideas grow over time.

“Having started a business myself in the past, I understand first-hand the time and commitment it takes to build something from the ground up. Because of that experience, I’ve found I strongly resonate with the people we support, and it motivates me every day to help others successfully navigate their own entrepreneurial journeys.”

In her spare time, Rosa focuses on her health, regularly swimming and doing Pilates. She also finds a creative and therapeutic outlet in painting (we might have to convince her to show off a few pieces at the office).

Eosaph Macbeth: Our creative playmaker developing fun new ways for our messaging to reach you

Eosaph has joined our Marketing Department as Marketing Officer. A self-proclaimed “Jack-of-all-trades”, he brings 15+ years of experience working in marketing, media, and consultancy.

Eosaph grew up in Hong Kong, and studied at the Hong Kong Film Academy, before moving to the UK to undertake a BA in Film and TV Production at the York St. John University.

He has worked on videography and photography projects around the UK, Europe, and the Middle East, as well as performing all-round marketing duties for a wide range of businesses in the Midlands.

Eosaph is a passionate writer and in recent years has specialised in copywriting. He is currently working on boosting our marketing efforts, building a financial education hub, and making sure that our content is fun, engaging, knowledgeable, and never a bore to read.

He said of his decision to join First Enterprise: “I’ve always been someone with very strong political and social beliefs. I want to see a fairer, kinder, and more supportive society.

“First Enterprise’s drive to help underrepresented and underserved communities really aligned with what I believe. It has allowed me to express myself creatively while serving a business I believe in.”

When he’s not busy writing articles or editing videos, Eosaph spends his time with his 8-year-old son, playing video games, enjoying football, generally nerding out, as well as being smothered by his two cats.

Iffat Ghazni: Our experienced centre back ensuring nothing gets past us and the team keeps pushing forward

Woman in a black button-down shirt, smiling slightly against a plain white background. Her hair is long and brown.

Iffat has joined our team as an Office Administrator, helping to ensure the wheels keep spinning at First Enterprise.

It might surprise you to learn that this is only Iffat’s second job. Not because of a lack of experience, but because of her loyalty and belief in a cause.

She previously worked for 16 years as a Business Administrator for an organisation that dealt with apprenticeships and employment training programmes for BME (Black and Minority Ethnic) individuals.

Unfortunately, the company recently stopped trading, and Iffat was forced to look for new opportunities. First Enterprise aligned with her beliefs and values.

She says of her decision to join: “I knew of First Enterprise’s work in the Midlands for a long while. I respected their mission to help underserved communities.

“They always seemed like a good company and one with values I share.

“When I saw there was a vacancy available, I jumped at the chance to apply. I’m looking forward to learning the role and developing a range of new skills.”

Iffat’s caring nature is apparent inside and outside of work. She is a mother of four and is very family focused. She loves spending her free time around the house, accompanied by her loved ones.
