£10,000 Start Up Loan enables alternative health clinic to purchase new machinery

Inside Out are a Birmingham-based alternative health clinic specialising in the healing and recovery of musculoskeletal injuries, athletic performance improvements, and other ailments. Founder Daniel Akowuah Adubofour was inspired to start the business after his time working in the NHS.
His experience working with patients, his passion for healing, and his time spent playing football and running track, pushed Daniel to explore new therapies. Setting up Inside Out enabled him to utilise his deep understanding of preventative treatments and physical therapy to help others.
Inside Out’s slogan, “Prevention is the cure”, drives their core mission: to help the human body repair itself.
A £10,000 Start Up loan allowed Daniel to expand his treatment options
Daniel wanted to explore new treatments and offer more services to his clients. However, the prohibitive cost of physiotherapy machinery was outside of Inside Out’s existing cash reserves.
A Start Up Loan through First Enterprise enabled Daniel to:
Purchase a “Shockwave Therapy” machine
Expand the range of services available to clients.
The Shockwave Therapy machine is a medical device that passes short, intense, acoustic sound waves into affected tissues to accelerate healing and reduce chronic pain. It is commonly used in physiotherapy, orthopaedics, and sports medicine for conditions like plantar fasciitis and tendonitis.
The waves induce controlled microtrauma to stimulate an acute inflammatory response, increase local blood flow, and jump-start tissue regeneration.
Inside Out are now able to offer the treatment to clients, alongside a wide range of holistic and therapy-based options, such as:
Cryotherapy
Pressotherapy
Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment (HBOT)
Gut health discovery consultations
Cold plasma therapy.
Daniel continues to help his clients deal with pain and recover muscle use on a day-to-day basis.
