The owner of Nottingham’s specialist artisan bakery, Anthony Quinn, has seen his business boom after receiving £20,000 Start-Up funding from First Enterprise to make his business vision a success.

The Pudding Pantry is Anthony’s first venture into running his own business, yet he has already won Best East Midland Start-up in The Big Start-Up Loans Competition and continues to exceed his predicted turnovers year after year.

Backed by First Enterprise, Anthony said the support has been invaluable to his business in its first few years. After initially borrowing £20,000 to fund start-up costs, Anthony used First Enterprise to further expand and support his business with a £40,000.

He said: “We are so pleased with the support we have received from First Enterprise and could not have done this without the help and advice from its advisors. Getting the funding and support was one of the most challenging aspects but First Enterprise backed us all the way.”
